Caring Companion
Caring Companion volunteers may be the difference between self-reliance and mere survival. With your assistance, older people receive extra help so they can remain independently in their own homes without premature nursing home placement. Counties served are Clay, Kittson, Lake of the Woods, Mahnomen, Marshall, Norman, Pennington, Polk, Red Lake and Roseau. Foster Grandparent
Foster Grandparent volunteers share their experiences and talents to improve the lives of children in need. You can help children develop the skills, confidence, and strength to succeed in life. Foster Grandparents make their neighborhoods stronger by helping children with special/exceptional needs achieve their goals. Foster Grandparents are placed in non-profit settings such as public/private schools, daycare centers, development achievement centers and juvenile centers. HEAD START
Head Start Parent Committee
The Parent Committee is made up of parents or guardians of enrolled Head Start/Early Head Start children at the center. If you are interested in volunteering, you may contact a Recruiter and Family Advocate or the Center Manager. There are a number of ways to donate your time. You can work in your child’s classroom or you might have a skill you would like to share. Whatever you choose to do to help will be appreciated and will bring more services to your Head Start Center. Comité de Padres de Head Start
El Comité de Padres está compuesto por los Padres de niños matriculados en el Centro de Head Start/ Head Start Temprano. Si usted está interesado en ser voluntario, favor comunicarse con el Reclutador y Asistente Familiar o el Gerente del Centro. Hay varias maneras en que usted puede donar su tiempo. Rural Transportation Collaborative (RTC)
RTC volunteer drivers use their own vehicles and donate their time and are reimbursed the IRS rate per mile they drive to cover the expenses they occur while on the road (gas, car maintenance, insurance, etc.). If you are interested in becoming a volunteer driver please click here to fill out an application. You may fill it out online or print the application and bring in to the office address listed below.
