The Tri-Valley Opportunity Council, Inc. Public Transportation Program announced today that it will take over administration of the Mahnomen County Heartland Express on Monday, August 4. The transition will be seamless with the only noticeable change being who answers the dispatch phone number.
“Tri-Valley has hired two very familiar faces for bus drivers, I am confident that these experienced drivers will continue to provide the best service possible to the residents of the county,” says Julie Hanson, Mahnomen County Social Services Director.
“One of our main goals was to insure a seamless transition, while bringing more extensive services to the residents of Mahnomen County. By working cooperatively with Tri-Valley we have the opportunity to provide transportation services that extend outside the county boundaries,” adds Hanson.
The transition allows for more coordinated transportation services in Mahnomen County and will allow Tri-Valley Public Transportation to administer more than one county within the system. In addition, Tri-Valley will work to provide Mahnomen County residents more access to transportation outside of Mahnomen County.
