(Crookston, Minn.)- Tri-Valley Opportunity Council, Inc. announced recently that Tammy Lee was elected to represent the Norman County Low-Income Sector on the Tri-Valley Board of Directors starting in February of 2013.
Lee is no stranger to Tri-Valley Opportunity, Inc. She served three years on the Region V Head Start/Early Head Start Policy Council. She was the Norman County center-based Representative in 2009-2010, Community Representative in 2010-2011, and Community Representative in 2011-2012. In addition, all three of her children attended the Tri-Valley Region V Head Start and Child Care program at the West Adventure Center in Hendrum, Minn.
“Tammy has been a great parent support for her children and for our program. She has been a very active member of the Head Start Policy Council and will be a great asset to the Tri-Valley Board of Directors,” says Patricia Schilling, Norman County Head Start/Early Head Start Center Manager. “We are very honored and proud to have Tammy representing Norman County. I also want to thank her for her years of service and support,” Schilling adds.
Lee and her husband Matt, live in Halstad, Minn. She is a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Halstad Living Center.
The Tri-Valley Board of Directors is made up of individuals from Norman, West Marshall and West Polk counties representing the public, private and low-income sectors.
