With over 2,000 participants, 12 Tri-Valley Head Start employees attended the Zero to Three Learn Conference on September 19 – 20. Employees included teachers, education supervisors, and an early childhood coach. Two of the twelve employees had been awarded a scholarship from Zero to Three to attend the conference.
The conference was a research-based resource for advocates and policymakers on the unique developmental needs of infants and toddlers, and was held at the downtown Minneapolis Convention Center.
There were many sessions to choose from and included topics such as “Outdoor Play with Young Children”, “Early Screening, Better Outcomes”, “Building Statewide Capacity to Identify and Serve Young Children with Autism and Their Families”, and “Building Resiliency and Early Skills for a Brighter Future.”
The mission of Zero to Three is to ensure that all babies and toddlers have a strong start in life. As the first three years of life are the most important for lifelong mental health and well-being.
